Crescent-shaped Venetian opulence set against a breathtaking backdrop of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

Just 20 minutes from the airport, nestled into 57 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and shimmering pools, overlooking a pristine stretch of private beach, The Ritz-Carlton Abu Dhabi, Grand Canal marries modern elegance with rich traditions. From sunrises over Al Maqta Creek to sunsets that frame Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, every moment is a sensual feast. The resort is formed by 10 Venetian-inspired buildings that form a crescent around one of the city’s largest outdoor pools.

Inspired by classic Renaissance architecture, every room is tasteful and serene with gorgeous views of the acclaimed Grand Canal, stately gardens or dazzling Grand Mosque from your private balcony.

The resort features eight restaurants, a 21,500-sq-ft Bedouin-inspired holistic spa, a club lounge with panoramic views and the fantastic Ritz Kids Club.

Luxury personified, from exclusive views of the Grand Mosque to opera performances at sunset, the resort celebrates the extraordinary.

Facilities

All the trappings of a world-class retreat.

Dedicated to relaxation, this five-star hideaway curves around an enormous outdoor pool, elegant terrace and canal-side beach with coral-white imported sand. Surrounded by lush landscaped gardens and dotted with water features, the terrace offers glorious views of the Grand Canal, private cabanas, al fresco dining and cooling drinks.

Equally as memorable is the hotel’s choice of restaurants – eight to be exact, featuring unique twists on global cuisine. Highlights include Mijana, a stunning Arabic Lebanese restaurant; one of three designed by the rather comically named Super Potato Design Company from Japan, The Forge for seafood and steak and Li Jiang for Southeast Asian delights, occupying an outdoor area with majestic views of the mosque. Room service is available 24 hours a day.

The beachfront Espa Spa features a steam room, a Hammam, and 15 treatment rooms offering relaxing massages. The health club is fitted with a range of CV and weight equipment.

Children are guaranteed to have the time of their lives at the Ritz Kids Club, with face painting, treasure hunts and the Splash Park.

There’s a tradition souq, Qaryat Al Beri, just across the creek, which guests can get to via a traditional abra water taxi.
