This ultra-modern, understatedly chic hotel, geared towards a more obviously design-conscious demographic, is the epitome of an indulgent Carribean escape.

Silversands is the first major development in 25 years on the stunning Great Anse Beach in the 'spice island' of Grenada, and has been designed to blend into the surroundings, with an understated aesthetic. Powdered white sands stretch towards the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea, perfect for kicking back with relaxing and the occasional watersport. The dazzling, palm-lined 100m infinity pool is allegedly the longest in the Caribbean and is surrounded by extra luxurious daybeds. The vibe is chilled and trendy and in the evenings, a DJ spins ambient tunes in the open-air, beachside lounge area, with its eye-catching retractable giant white sail roof. Dining options at Silversands unexpectedly includes a (mostly) Thai restaurant as well as a lively pool bar and vibrant lounges dotted strategically around the resort. The Puro bar, meanwhile, showcases the region’s exquisite rum and world-famous cigars.

Facilities

Stylish and sophisticated indulgences to enhance the relaxation.

Most guests come for the location on Grand Anse beach, with days spent on the white sands, enjoying water sports on and below the surface, or exploring the delightful habitat surrounding it. The views from the stunning 100-metre infinity pool are lovely and waiters offering drinks are always on hand. Asiatique merges aromatic Carribean spices with Asian cooking methods and Grenadian Grill serves freshly-caught fish and finest steaks. The vibe continues into the evening with DJ beats at the Beach Club or at the intimate cigar lounge, Puro.

Silversands has a cool spa complex which includes a large swimming pool in a courtyard setting, a gym, sauna, steam room, ice cave and ‘experience shower’. The main hotel pool is long and narrow – perfect to chill off in the lovely temperatures. Complimentary watersports on offer at the beach include kayaks, stand-up paddleboards and snorkelling equipment.
