High end food isn’t exactly synonymous with “all inclusive” but that’s exactly what is found at UNICO 20°87°. Two exceptional examples are; Mi Carisa, which is a fine-dining, love letter to the flavors of the Mediterranean and Cueva Siete which harnesses the mysticism and reverence of Mayan culture, under celebrity chef Xavier Perez Stone. There are five bars with a devoted mixology program and a lounge featuring live entertainment. Drinks are premium top shelf brands but as there are different options at every bar, some investigation is required to source particular favourites.

The three pools are gorgeous with double-bed loungers and drink and food service; the sand is pristine and dazzlingly white; the fitness centre has visiting instructor programmes; and the spa offers standard and hydrotherapy treatments. Excellent selection of golf is nearby as are the high-octane experiences as well as the cultural excursions.

Land and water sports; daily and nightly events; cocktail-making workshops; dance classes; pop-up bars; live artistic demos and non-motorized water sports are just a snippet of the playthings available.

All rooms are spacious and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open to big, furnished terraces, and a beautiful, upscale design incorporating indigenous flourishes, from the art on the wall, to the handcrafted details throughout. Four-poster wooden beds and 24-hour butler services permeate a sense of opulence. Rooms have either panoramic ocean views or overlook the pools and the grounds. Swim-up units feature shared pools that can be accessed directly from the terrace. Though most room types are designed for only two guests, the hotel also offers a number of two-bedroom villas and suites for up to six people.
Amenities are excellent across the board, and include Nespresso machines, free Wi-Fi, free minibars stocked according to preference, 55-inch flat-screen TVs, and pillow menus with aromatherapy options. Most rooms also have soaking or jetted tubs, and many feature outdoor baths with ocean views.
