At the heart of the resort is a vast Olympic size marble-lined infinity pool but as the ones in every private pavilion are so sizeable and less overlooked, it’s mostly used for laps. Access to the sea is via a pebbly beach but Amanruya’s breathtaking own beach club (Aman, rather than Ibiza style) that’s the real draw on the shore. Quiet, luxurious and with free water sports on offer, it’s very easy to while away the days.
Fitness and yoga studios, fabulous Aman Spa and tennis court plus a three storey library await those able to drag themselves away.
Classic Turkish and Mediterranean fare is superb, served in the outdoor pavilion ‘eateries, or in the comfort of the private homes. Turkey’s wide variety of microclimates results in an array of ever-changing fresh seasonal produce. Several bars are dotted around the resort too.
The hotel can organise the usual outings, from boat trips to historical tours.
