While wildlife safaris are reason enough to visit this exquisite country, South Africa offers even more to see and do.

The city of Cape Town is a jewel that is well worth visiting. Set against the iconic Table Mountain, Cape Town offers lots to explore, including the V&A Waterfront, Chapman’s Peak, Boulders Penguin Colony and several beautiful beaches — just to give you an idea. Not to mention the delicious food and fabulous shopping, all of which can be enjoyed at a favourable exchange rate.

Your Journey

On arrival you will be met by a representative at the airport who will transfer you to your hotel. The Silo is a magical space towering above the V&A Waterfront surrounded by the natural wonder of South Africa’s Mother City.

Day Two - Private Half Day Township Tour

The Uthando Tour covers an extensive discussion on South African history, the legacy of Apartheid as well as in-depth information on the political, social, economic, cultural and local issues confronting South Africa today. The core focus of the tour however is visiting interesting, innovative and inspiring community development projects and the incredible people driving these projects. On any given tour 3 or 4 diverse community projects are visited. People can request to visit a specific project or projects but this is subject to availability and logistical possibility.

Day Three - Private Full Day Robben Island & City Tour, including Table Mountain Cable Car

Including all the `must-sees` of any Cape Town day tour, this option is a geographical and cultural extravaganza, showing you Cape Town, from its historical beginnings to its dark days of apartheid and present day spirit of triumph and hope in a democratic South Africa. The tour commences with a ferry trip across the bay to Robben Island which served as a place of banishment, isolation and imprisonment. Upon return to the mainland, enjoy a drive through Bo-Kaap to discover how the Malay slaves influenced the culture, food and aesthetics of this beautiful city and its people. Continue to Table Mountain where you shall reach the top by cable car and enjoy the panoramic views.

Day Four - Private Helicopter Flip, Wine Tasting and Cape Side Car Activity

Departing from NAC Helicopters Cape Town at the V&A Waterfront, you will soar over the dazzlingly beautiful Cape Peninsula to Groot Constantia. You will then embark on a tour of the traditional Cape Dutch-style Manor House, the historic Cloete Cellar, the working production cellar and then enjoy an audio-guided walk through the centuries-old vineyards. When you are ready to depart you will be chauffeured along the leafy roads of the Constantia wine route in a vintage motorcycle sidecar. During your cruise along the Atlantic seaboard, you will stop for a scenic photo opportunity at the famous Chapman’s Peak Drive.

Day Five - Travel to Hermanus

Check out from your hotel and you will be transferred to the next hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure.

Day Six - Marine Big 5 Safari with Dyer Island Cruises

All cruises depart from Kleinbaai harbour near Gansbaai. Found only in Gansbaai, Dyer Island is located 8 km from shore and is an access controlled Important Bird Area (IBA) for the conservation of its many resident bird species, including African penguins. Adjacent to Dyer Island is Geyser Rock, home to a 60,000 strong Cape fur seal colony. These seals are present all year round. We will take you into the channel of water between Dyer Island and Geyser Rock known as the world famous ‘Shark Alley’. We will then take you to the whale hot-spots in the bay. With over a decade of experience, not only do we know where to expect the best whale viewings, but the whales have also learned where to expect us! We boast South Africa’s largest boat-based whale identity catalog and we see re-sightings of the same individual whales year after year.
