Your Journey

Day One - Arrival & welcome

Your private guide will be waiting for you at the arrival hall as you pass through baggage claim and customs. He will help you with your bags and escort you to one of our comfortable luxury vehicles. Finally you will reach Reykjavik and your guide will help you get checked in to 101 hotel. You will visit the smallest and most unique restaurant in Iceland. This hidden restaurant, named Óx, is located within a few blocks from your hotel and offers a spectacular culinary experience where you will be served a tasting menu on the chef’s table along with only few other people in an intimate setting.

Day Two - Golden Circle

You will start the day by going on the Golden Circle tour to see some of Iceland’s most famous landmarks with a stop at the most beloved national park in Iceland Þingvellir. Continue to the Gullfoss waterfall area and embark on an incredible 1 hour Jet Boat tour that will give you a whole new angle on the magnificent Gullfoss Canyon. Continue to the Haukadalur geothermal area, where you have various geothermal features: Geysers, mud pools, fumaroles, algal deposits. After the Golden Circle your guide will take you to the Þríhnjúkagígur volcano for an unforgettable experience. Once you get back from the volcano you will be served traditional Icelandic meat soup. Your private helicopter will be waiting for you at the volcano and embark on a two hour sightseeing tour over the Reykjanes peninsula, Hvalfjörður fjord, langjökull glacier. Tonight you will have dinner at one of the trendiest restaurants in Iceland and a local favorite, Sumac Grill + Drink.

Day Three - South Coast of Iceland

Today you will leave Reykjavik and start your journey along the south coast of Iceland. You will be travelling by helicopter so that you will be able to access the most remote places far from the other tourists. Along the south coast you will see some dramatic landscape, first up being the beautiful waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Gljúfrabúi secret waterfall with their amazing caves. You will fly over the infamous Reynisfjara which is a black pebble beach before flying deep over Mýrdalsjökull Glacier and land on the Ice. There you will go on a journey into a remote natural ice cave that few have the opportunity to view. Next up is Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, a magnificent and massive canyon. Continue the flight further east to the Skaftafell national park where you can see the Svartifoss waterfall. You will board a Zodiac by the lagoon and go sailing between the Icebergs and towards the glacier. Tonight we recommend you have dinner at Sushi Social, located off the laugavegur main strip.

Day Four - Exploring Snæfellsnes peninsula

Today you will head out the western part of the country and explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula but first you will get a chance to experience ocean wildlife as you embark on a 90 minute whale and puffin safari tour from the harbour in the city centre of Reykjavik. Once you get back on shore you will have lunch at Kopar restaurant down by the marina. After lunch the drive will be broken up with various activities along the way, most notably with an optional hike up to Glymur waterfall. As you venture further west your guide will show markable sights including Eldborg, a slag crater that is around 200 meters wide and 50 meters deep. Dinner and overnight at Hótel Búðir.

Day Five - Snæfellsnes highlights

Today you will go on a tour to see some of the highlights of Snæfellsnes as your guide takes you to see Snæfellsnesjökull Glacier, the Saxhóll crater, Djúpalónssandur beach, basalt cliffs and the famously beautiful area around Arnarstapi and Hellnar. You will even have the option to have a gourmet picnic in nature following a beautiful walk alongside dramatic cliffs. You will continue on to take a tour of Vatnshellir Cave. After dinner embark on an easy and relaxing kayaking tour by Kirkjufell Mountain.

Day Six - Northern Peninsula

Today your guide will take you on a drive along the northern peninsula making stops along the way for some more amazing scenery including basalt columns, hot springs and deserted old farmhouses. Explore the famous mountain in Iceland, Kirkjufell and visit Stykkishólmur, surrounded by wonderful views of the innumerable islands.Take a boat tour out of Stykkishólmur for a viking sushi experience. You will go out for a 2.5 hour boat ride in Breiðafjörður fjord and catch some fresh fruits of the sea. For lunch you will visit Narfeyrarstofa restaurant afterwards you will visit the Norska Husi ð, the Snæfellsnes regional museum. Get comfortable in the car as your guide takes you to the Retreat at the Blue Lagoon, a luxury wellness hotel. You will have a dinner reservation at Moss Restaurant with an optional visit to their impressive wine cellar.

Day Seven - Exploring the Reykjanes peninsula

Today you will have a chance to explore the Reykjanes peninsula around the Blue Lagoon. Your guide will take you to the Seltún geothermal area, where solfataras, fumaroles, mud pots and hot springs have formed. You will have the chance to stop by the bridge between the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates. The journey will continue towards Reykjanesviti and Valahnúkur driving through a 700 year old lava field. Just a couple of minutes away you visit Gunnuhver, the largest geothermal mud pot in Iceland that shoots a lot of steam and mud into the air constantly.  Dinner and overnight at the Retreat at the Blue Lagoon.

Day Eight - Departure

At a pre-arrange time, or about two and a half hours before your fight your driver will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Keflavik International Airport in time for your departure flight.
