Take in the local culture, witness the magical heritage sights and stay in our favourite five-star hotels. Each stay is blissful luxury at every moment. Your home away from home.
Our airport manager welcomes you at the airport, where you will be privately transferred to Negombo. After roughly 20 minutes, check into your hotel and indulge in a five-star dinner before you enjoy the amenities.
After a sumptuous breakfast at the hotel, we leave for Habarana. Our first stop is Dambulla, roughly 4 hours away. Sri Lanka’s beautiful, untouched villages are perfect for a taste of authentic culture, daily living patterns and true cuisine. Trail through jungle patches, ride bull carts and catamarans, explore traditional mud hut houses and have a classic curry and rice lunch to immerse yourself in the locals’ routine. Afterwards, we transfer to the next five-star hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Surrender to a slow morning and a delicious five-star breakfast before the day starts. In the afternoon, we transfer to Minneriya Park, an 8,889-hectare wildlife haven where we enjoy a 4X4 jeep safari tour. Did you know it holds herds of up to 300 elephants, wild buffalo, boar, deer, and 160 species of birds? Later, we return to the Jetwing Lake hotel for a leisurely evening.
Once we finish breakfast at the hotel, it’s time to visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a World Heritage Site, thought to originate as far back as the 5th century, with the summit around 200 metres high. Shortly after, we travel to Kandy, stopping at the majestic Matale Spice Garden en route. You will see how cinnamon, cardamom and pepper creepers are grown, and you can get your hands on these aromatic, authentic spices to cook for yourself. On arrival in Kandyan, witness a dance and music culture show to close off an adventurous day on the island.
After leaving the hotel, it’s time to enjoy a cooking masterclass. Led by a local expert, they will explain how to prepare the typical dishes and give you exclusive tips every step of the way. At the end, prepare to enjoy your meal – have you mastered the art of Sri Lankan cuisine? Next, we travel to Peradeniya to explore the Kandy Market, try fresh produce, and purchase handcrafted textiles – some of which you can’t find anywhere else in the world.
Shortly after finishing breakfast, we travel to Kandy Railway Station to embark on one of the world’s most scenic railway journeys. Breathe in the fresh air, admire the rustic landscapes, take photos for fond memories, and relax as the train winds through the rolling greenery and tea farms. After a long day of travelling, you must be hungry. Check into your five-star hotel and enjoy a well-earned dinner.
After breakfast, we begin a 4-hour journey to Colombo. But we must make an important stop. Nuwara Eliya, also known as Little England, is one of the island’s most popular cities. Marvel at historical landmarks, take a moment and surrender to the peaceful atmosphere at Lake Gregory, and visit the market to indulge in fresh produce.
After exploring the island’s wonders and unforgettable memories, it’s time to head home. Proceed to the airport in time for your departure – or extend your stay in Sri Lanka.
