With a huge stretch of white sand bordering coral rich blue seas and a clutch of thatch-roofed overwater villas perched on wooden piers, Conrad Bora Bora Nui looks like the living embodiment of the ultimate tropical holiday screensaver. On Toโopua, a motu on the opposite side of the lagoon to the other 5 star hotels, itโs feels completely private and said to have the best sea and snorkeling.
The resort embraces Polynesian culture – in the greetings and traditional tattoos of the local staff, drawings and retellings of Polynesian legends upon check-in, the food, and even the names of hotel landmarks: Hina spa is named for the moon goddess, the Tamure grill pays homage to the hip-shaking local dance moves, the Upa Upa Lounge Bar means “music” and the Iriatai restaurant translates to “horizon.” Another way this property amplifies the Bora Bora luxury experience is through six unique dining establishments โ a rare and staggering amount of choice for a property floating in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.
This recently renovated resort offers a variety of accommodations, from the spacious Lagoon View Suites perfect for families, to the spectacular overwater villas and extravagant two storey Presidential Villas.

The delightful, hilltop Hina Spa has unspoiled 360-degree views and below, thereโs a large, tiered infinity pool with swim-up bar. The 18 hole miniature golf course with natural sand traps and fallen fruit hazards is great fun and snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddle boards, bicycle boats, hobie cat, tennis and gym is also available.
Conradโs โStay Inspiredโ program offers a variety of activities and excursions including: incredibly useful coconut opening skills; flower-crown making; ukulele lessons; learn to speak Tahitian; and snorkelling with stingrays.
Conrad Bora Bora Nui features six unique restaurants and bars, including fine-dining French at Iriatai, Mediterranean and Polynesian dishes at Tamure Beach Grill and the enchanting Upa Upa lounge bars which boasts a glass floor and is the perfect spot for panoramic sunset views. Speciality dining events include a traditional Polynesian Ahi Ma’a dinner, utilising a โsand ovenโ and a weekly traditional Polynesian show and buffet. A short ride from the property, Motu Tapu is the resort’s private island and is a perfect spot to plan a romantic dinner for two.
Of the resortโs 114 rooms, 83 are the coveted over-water bungalows, with 22 of those boasting infinity pools on oceanfront decks. All overwater bungalows come complete with a floor hammock (like the net of a sailing ship), making the terrace an inviting place to unwind and meditate on the colors of the lagoon and ocean. For ultimate opulence, the swanky two-storey over-water villas, known as Presidential Villas, have two master bedrooms, two outdoor decks, outdoor dining space, a pool, hot tub and sauna, as well as butler service.
All resort rooms feature contemporary interiors, accented with daily fresh flower arrangements and sweet treats. Features include Nespresso machine, a living area, a TV that emerges from a cabinet and swivels to view from bed or outside and all properties are Bluetooth equipped so that personal playlists can be heard indoors or overwater. Bathrooms have walk-in showers, double sinks, a freestanding bathtub and separate WC.
