Four Seasons Langkawi is most definitely family-friendly, offering facilities including babysitting, kids’ yoga, tennis, gym, watersports and a family pool with fountains and waterfalls. However, there’s also a spectacular 55-metre adults-only infinity pool looking out to the Andaman Sea, complete with eight private cabanas plus the private, romantic dining options means that couples can feel secluded and alone.
There are three restaurants: the signature Ikan Ikan serves delicious Malaysian food; the Kelapa Grill is ideal for fresh seafood and steaks; and Serai features Arabic and Mediterranean cuisine plus gargantuan breakfast buffets. Rhu Bar, a Middle Eastern-inspired lounge,is an delightful spot to watch the flaming red and orange sunsets.
The sprawling Geo Spa echoes to soothing water channels in a lovely setting against a towering limestone rock.
The resort has resident nature guides to take guests on walking or boat tours through Kilim Karst Geoforest Park to see the tangled mangroves, soaring limestone cliffs and 240 species of resident wildlife, including macaque monkeys, kites, eagles, tree crabs, and monitor lizards.
All spacious accommodation is in pretty stunning Melaleuca pavilions or private pool villas, both seamlessly blending Arabian influences with tropical woods and marble. The expansive marble bathroom are especially impressive, offering dual wash basins, a curtained shower alcove and a bathing area featuring a raised terrazzo soaking tub for two. Floor-to-ceiling windows gave the sense of bringing the outdoors in and amenities include signature Four Seasons bed, LED Television with full cable access, Yukata robes and slippers, locally sourced organic toiletries, Nespresso machines and fully stocked bar.
Outside the rooms, the beachfront gardens, palms and lotus ponds provide a peaceful habitat for cheerful birds.
