Most visitors come wanting to engage with the marine life and this resort is exceptional with that regard. Not only can guests dive and snorkel with whale sharks, shoals of butterfly fish, blue turtles, dolphins and many other exotic, brightly coloured fish, the ‘manta-on-call’ service is amazing – when the research team spot these gorgeous creatures at sea, they notify those interested who are then given a few minutes to head to the speedboat. Additionally, the resort’s DeepFlight three-person submarine will take intrepid Jacques Cousteau’s to the depths of this amazing biosphere reserve.
Kids for All Seasons kids club is open to 4 to 12 year olds and teenagers are catered for in the Majaa Maizan.
Superb dining options include ‘Al Barakat’ – stylish overwater restaurant offers flavours of Lebanon, Morocco and Armenia; ‘Fuego Grill’ for fresh seafood at the beach and ‘Blu’, the contemporary Italian serving light Mediterranean lunches and fine dining at night. The 102 thatched beach and water villas feature private plunge pools, generous outdoor living and dining spaces, and divine views across the tranquil lagoon.
