the accommodation

Enjoy ten nights in seven luxury hotels

Dive into Sri Lankaโ€™s vibrant culture while staying in our carefully selected five-star hotels. Enjoy warm welcomes, luxury comforts and personalised touches at every stop to make you feel at home.

Day One - Arrival & Welcome

On arrival at Negombo Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and privately transferred to Negombo. The transfer will take 20 minutes before you arrive and check in at Jetwin Beach, your first five-star resort. Unwind, take advantage of the world-class facilities and rejuvenate after a long day of travelling.

Day Two - Authentic Village Tour

After breakfast, we will visit Dambulla, a largely unchanged, authentic village. Witness the harmony of locals, day-to-day life patterns and culture come to life. Pass jungle patches, Chena cultivations and experience a catamaran boat ride in the village lake. Afterwards, visit a traditional mud house and indulge in a typical Sri Lankan lunch, often consisting of rice and curry.

Day Three - Minneriya National Park

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before an afternoon transfer to Minneriya National Park – home to 8,889 hectares, large elephant herds, wild boars, sloths, crocodiles, and so much more of the vast wildlife – where you explore the area in a 4 X 4 safari Jeep.

Day Four - Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Spice Gardens

Fuel yourself for the adventurous day ahead at breakfast. It’s time to visit Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a World Heritage Site dating back to the 5th century. Perhaps the most fantastic wonder on the island, the Palace summit sits at the very top of the 600-foot-tall rock. Next, we travel to the Spice Gardens to see where cinnamon, cardamom, pepper creepers and other spices are naturally grown. In the evening, watch a Kandyan cultural show for an authentic island experience of dance and music.

Day Five - Delicious Cookery Demonstration

Once you’ve finished breakfast, transfer to Kandy city because it’s time to cook! A local expert leads the cooking class, preparing authentic rice and curry-based dishes using locally sourced ingredients. Now you know how to prepare a true chicken curry. After transferring to Peradeniya, visit the Kandy Central Market, a vibrant spot with spices and textiles. Watch the market come alive and interact with locals before travelling back to your five-star hotel.

Day Six - Scenic Train to Nuwara Eliya

After finishing breakfast at your hotel, it’s time to embark on an incredible first-class train journey to Nuwara Eliya before we continue with the grand tour. Soak up the stunning backdrops and terrain in all its charm. Is this the best rail journey in the world?

Day Seven - Nuwara City Tour

Finish breakfast before heading to Nuwara Eliya, known as little England, for a full-day tour. Embrace the historical landmarks and learn the area’s colonial past. Explore Lake Gregory and surrender to the serenity. Step inside Victoria Park and stroll through the stunning gardens. Kill your appetite in the markets with authentic, fresh produce.

Day Eight - Yala National Park

Once breakfast is over, we proceed to Sri Lanka’s beloved Yala National Park. Explore via Jeep safari on a 3-hour tour as you spot elephants, peacocks, buffalo, and up to 130 species of birds in their natural habitat.

Day Nine - Elephant Transit Home & Udawalawe National Park

After breakfast, it’s time to embark on a 20-minute journey to visit the unique Elephant Transit Home. Feed orphaned or sick elephants from a distance, and watch as the keeper feeds them milk through a hose. Next, we travel to Udawalawe National Park to visit 400 elephants in a jeep safari before checking into your next hotel.

Day Ten - The Historical Town of Galle

It’s time to leave for Colombo, but our first stop is Galle. Built on a rock, this town was a key shipping port for over a century. Explore the all-white lighthouse and visit the lively old town where you can purchase some of the finest hand-made souvenirs in the world. Afterwards, proceed on a 2.5-hour journey to Colombo, where your five-star spa hotel awaits.

Day 11 - Home Time

Unfortunately, after exploring the beautiful island, your magical tour has come to an end. After enjoying the final moments of five-star comfort and a delicious breakfast, it’s time to head back to the airport.
